Two Frogs

Once upon a time, a group of frogs were traveling through a jungle and two of them fell into a deep hole. A pit!! The other frogs gathered around the pit and then when they saw how deep the pit was, they told the frogs that they were as good as dead. “Don’t try, you’ll sure die”!! The two frogs still tried and their friends kept on shouting: Don’t try, you’ll surely die.

Finally one of the frogs listened to his friend and gave up. His fear broke him and he died. The other still tried to jump out and his friend kept on discouraging him by saying: “Don’t try, you’ll surely die. But the frog still tried to jump out and at the end, he successfully jumped out.

When he got out, his friends asked him: “did you not hear us?”

The frogs answered: “Luckily, I did not listen to all of you. That’s why, I am still alive!!”

The story teaches us two lessons. Lessons number one: Words have the power to lift up someone who is down. Lesson number two: a negative or destructive word to someone who is down can kill him.

Therefore, speak LIFE to someone who crosses our path. That is the power of words to inspire and motivate us.
